If you ever suspect that your notifications are missing from your Outlook or Teams apps, there are a couple of ways to go about troubleshooting for this.
Option 1: Checking to see if "Focus" mode is on
This is generally your first stop in terms of seeing if your notifications are active or not. Windows has a built-in mode for setting times that you don't want to be notified for, and if it's on it will silence all of your notifications. To check if it's on, you can click on the bottom right in your screen to access the Calendar and Notifications menu on Windows 11.
If Focus mode is on, you'll be able to hit "End Session" under the calendar.
Option 2: Checking to see if "Do Not Disturb" is on
To check if "Do Not Disturb" is enabled, you can click on the same menu as above. The location for this option is in the top of the screen. The below screenshot is what it normally looks like, as the Z's on it indicate that the DND mode is not active.
This is an example of when it is active, and to disable it you can left-click on the bell symbol.
Option 3: Checking your Windows settings for Notifications
Generally, if the other above steps didn't work that will lead you to this one.
To get into the Windows setting menu, you can either hit the Windows key + i or search it up from the Startup menu through the Windows logo icon on your taskbar. From there you can click "Open".
Within that menu, select the "Notifications" page. Note: When the page is open you can access DND and a couple other settings from the above steps here too.
From here, the most common issue would be that the app you're looking for would have the option set to "Off". If this is the case, you can turn it back on here and it should be working.
If you do find that the app is set to receive notifications, you can click on the menu to access a more customizable section for how the notifications get sent. At this point, the highlighted selection should be responsible. If "Show notification banners" is un-checked, you can check it there and the notifications should show up again.
