The Help Desk team brings you another Tech Tip! Did you know that when you are typing in a textbox, like in MW-CMS or even Word, you can quickly jump the cursor around the block of text without having to use your mouse? Use the keyboard shortcuts below to jump around your text without having to remove your hands from the keyboard!
| Key Combination | Action | Location |
| Home | Jumps to the beginning of the current line |
On a laptop, usually the top right corner near delete. On a keyboard, it can be found above the arrow keys. |
| End | Jumps to the end of the current line |
On a laptop, it is usually next to the Home key at the top right. On a keyboard, it is usually found below the Home key and above the arrow keys. |
| CTRL + Home | Jumps to the very beginning of the document or textbox. | CTRL is found on the bottom left corner of almost any keyboard. On a laptop, it may be bumped one spot to the right to make space for a Fn key. |
| CTRL + End | Jumps to the very end of the document or textbox. | CTRL is found on the bottom left, and the End is found above the arrow keys. |
| CTRL + Left Arrow | Jumps to the beginning of the word before the text cursor (caret). | CTRL is found on the bottom left, and the left arrow can be found with the rest of the arrow keys on the bottom right of the keyboard. |
| CTRL + Right Arrow | Jumps to the beginning of the word after the text cursor (caret). | CTRL is found on the bottom left, and the right arrow is found with the rest of the arrow keys on the bottom right of the keyboard. |
